It’s easy to get carried away when you’re packing for a trip. If in doubt, the best thing to do is keep it simple. You want to be comfortable and feel good about it. Any lack in confidence in what you wear is about as easy to spot as a friend on a deserted street. So, to keep it simple, let’s think classic.
Classic are things that fit well and arrangements that compliment each other. A great way to achieve this is to concentrate on one of two things: half dark/half light or half pattern/half solid. In yoga we balance by keeping things even on the left and the right, forward folds and backward bends. With classic fashion there is a similar balance. A pair of dark jeans always goes well with a light blouse or white button-up; top a geometric printed skirt with a solid colored shirt and/or blazer. Once you’ve got that base you can include something that speaks to your individual nature- a colorful scarf, statement jewelry, or the handbag you love.
