In the yoga practice we are challenged to be present. Being present requires that we draw our attention to our surroundings and into our bodies. It’s easy to get distracted by lists of things to do, wants, projections of our future, etc. But, if we turn off the machine and tune into the present we capture moments that might otherwise pass us by.
